Testimonials

When we ordered our 60′ Northwich Trad from Jonathan Wilson, we wanted the interior to be as special as the steel work. Having seen examples of Steve’s work at Crick, we knew the high standard of his work would meet this criteria.

Right from the onset, Steve helped us to formulate our dream into a reality. The standard of the work was superb, as was the materials used throughout; really robust and with use of so much oak, the interior developed a uniqueness of its own.

We also gave Steve a freehand to express his craftsmanship, which he did with flair, whereby he matched and highlighted some of the steelworks special lines.

Thruoghout our build we were always welcome to view progress, with Steve being open to discuss the build and any changes. Even when we were unable to go to the yard, he sent pictures for us to see the progress.

At the end of our journey we had the boat of our dreams and we would highly recommend Steve and would use him again.

I have been doing business with Steve Ellis for quite a few years, and the quality of his work is second to none, and equally as important, he delivers on time.

I had my boat re-fitted by Steve about four years ago when he was working with Anthony M. Steve and I talked about my requirements, costings and anything that he thought would improve the boat and we came up with a plan of action.

My boat is a 12×57 widebeam. The wheelhouse was one of the works that Steve undertook, it had to fold down and it also had to be usable in cold weather, it passes with first class honors on all points.

The interior work was to re-fit the new saloon, including new walls, ceiling and floor and then turn the old saloon into a bedroom with a full length, fitted wardrobe and stove. This was done, on time and on budget, the finished rooms are a thing of beauty.

The great thing about the new saloon is the thought that’s gone into the design, the sliding shutters over the portholes and the easy access to the wiring and pipework, so if any damage should occur to the panels, they can be easily replaced.

Steve is a great woodworker and he listens to what you want, which, in todays world doesn’t happen very often.
